Dr. Pownell performs cosmetic procedures to "reshape normal structures of the body in order to improve the patient's physical appearance and self-esteem." Cosmetic surgery is not covered by health insurance. At times, some procedures may be considered cosmetic and at other times will be considered reconstructive. This decision will be made after an evaluation by Dr. Pownell and his correspondence with your insurance carrier.
